This past weekend was “Jaze Daze” in our town. Not only is it a community event, but all of the alumni reunions take place. Thank Goodness the honor years only celebrate every five years! It was my 15 year class reunion. Hard to believe we have been out of school longer than we actually went to school.
I started Kindergarten when I was four, therefore have always been the youngest one in my class. I absolutely hated it in highschool not being to drive until a year after all my friends! But now I like to rub it in. When they all hit 30, I only turned 29. And I’d like to say I’m still 29+.
Friday night was our class party where we had a catered meal. 27 of my 50 classmates attended. Saturday was filled with a parade and pep rally, where the theme seemed to be who can get what class the wettest. Thankfully it was HOT as we were all soaked. And we had a small break to reshower for the alumni dance.
Then yesterday, the park was filled with festivites all day. My kids asked a million questions in the museum. They realized they don’t have it so rough nowadays! And the weekend started to wind down with a fireworks display over the lake.
Now it’s back to reality… and working…
