I tease my mom about getting forgetful. And I think I am now turning into my mother! Or maybe I’m just overly stressed. I’ve been blogging about my ordeal of building and selling a house on HouseForKim.com. Well, today after signing papers at the realty office, I stopped at the grocery store to stock up on their sale items.
I stocked up on Jack’s pizza at 6/$10 - this is my favorite frozen cardboard pizza. And cheese and margarine and milk. And those Snicker ice cream bars looked so good even at full price. I got mostly frozen and refrigerated items to the tune of $50.
Well, I was in hurry to print out some papers before my Kiwanis meeting, make lunch, work a bit, and take a power nap. 6 hours later, I realize I forgot to carry in the groceries! And the heat index outside was above 100 degrees. And it was even hotter in the vehicle.
All the frozen items were melted and mush. I swear the gallon of milk was near boiling. $50 worth of food in the trash. I think we’ll have take-out for supper.
