Do you remember the Seinfeld episode where Elaine stocks up on “The Sponge” before they were all discontinued? That’s how I feel about Maybelline’s Shinefree Blemish Control Concealer!
Whereas Elaine had to decide whether her current boyfriend was “sponge worthy,” I have to decide whether or not I want my face to look flawless for the day (ie Am I going anywhere important today?) I searched clearance aisles high and low after Maybelline discontinued the Shinefree concealer line.
Down to my last tube, I’ve been experimenting with other brands. I tell you nothing compares. Imagine my delight when I saw someone selling 6 tubes on eBay - and in my color! I have no doubt that they had scooped them up on clearance (from the peeled off price tags) and they made a killing off my winning, but it was worth it to me.
Now I hope Maybelline doesn’t ever discontinue their Shinefree pressed powder! Kmart currently has 40% off all Maybelline cosmetics, so yesterday (on my way home from a Chicago trip), I stopped and stocked up on those as well!
