Being a young mother of four in a small rural town in Nebraska, I have always been a thrifty shopper by cutting coupons and shopping the clearance racks and bargain bins. After saving enough money for a computer, I expanded my coupon hobby to online deals.


Although I have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, I learned absolutely nothing about the Internet and websites in college, let alone anything about computers! So everything was trial and error for me.


I was amazed by all the websites with free offers, discount codes and contests offering free prizes. In between surfing for deals, I also dabbled into learning how to make websites by searching "HTML 101" in Yahoo. I made simple sites: one for family pictures, one about my preemie twins, and one for all the good deals I would find. I entitled it "My Shopping Bookmarks" and shared it with family and friends for them to "bookmark" as a favorite website in their browser. You can now bookmark us anywhere!


I also started sending out email alerts to family and friends about the good deals I would find, who in turn spread the news about my website to their family and friends. ShoppingBookmarks.com has now grown to include thousands of bargain shoppers from around the world. And my site continues to grow everyday!
